Summer Sangria
READY IN: 6 hours
SERVES: 6 (4oz) glasses
INGREDIENTS:
1 (750ml) Bottle Sweet White Wine,
Gewürztraminer preferred*
¾ Cup Brandy
¼ Cup Grand Marnier or Cointreau
½ Cup Sugar
1-2 Cups Frozen Peach Slices
1 Apple, Honeycrisp preferred, washed and thinly sliced
1 Orange, washed and cut into wedges
1 Lime, washed and cut into wedges
1 Lemon, washed and cut into wedges
DIRECTIONS:
- In a medium saucepan combine sugar, frozen peach slices and brandy, heat over medium low until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- In your pitcher of choice combine cooled brandy-peach mixture with all remaining ingredients. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
NOTE: *while Gewürztraminer is preferred, any sweet white wine will work such as Riesling or Moscato
**warming the brandy with frozen peaches just until the sugar melts releases some of the harsher alcohol aromas while bringing out natural flavors making the end result of the Sangria much more enjoyable
